7mm rem mag sendero or similar heavy rifle

I’m looking at getting a 7rm early next year. I have already considered the semi custom route but am trying to weigh up all of my options. The rifle will be for longer range shooting and a sporter weight barrel won’t be suitable. Ideally I’m after a varmint weight 24-26” barrelled rifle. Does anyone know of anything Available in the uk? I can only find sporter type rifles for sale online in this country . Cheers, Connor

Would you consider a .300 WM? Fantastic performance with something like the 208 A Max, had mine out to 1500 yards and doesn’t break the bank like a .338
I guess you could always find one and shoot it out and then rebarrel to 7mm Rem Mag

Have you ruled out the 7 PRC?

I’ve just ordered a 300 PRC wilderness HMR which fits your needs, the next model up (HMR Pro I think) looks a serious but of kit but too much money for my budget.

I’m not convinced of long term availability of non toxic factory ammunition in the prc cartridge’s which is a requirement for my work. The 7 rem is pretty well established. I used to have a .308 bergara which I had to move on after a year due to rust issues, you could watch the inside of the bore pit whilst culling in the rain!

I struggled for quite a while to find a decent 7RM , in the end i found a sako 75 , was cheep too ! Had it re-barrel’d and bosh ! Coming from a 6.5 its been a revelation to be honest , even at some very good ranges nothing has got up .
Good luck on your quest , it should certainly be worth it in the end .

I use a heavy barreled tikka m65 in 7mm rem mag it definitely does its job but I hate carrying it around as the barrel and mod makes it to long for what I want tbf
At the moment I'm running it with nosler 120g ballistics and have been using it for foxes on the stubbles off the back of my truck !

Fair enough, if you have to use factory ammunition for work then that rules it out.

Apparently they have sorted the barrel steel issue, I hope so!

That’s a lot of fun for fox!!
