Does anyone have load data for the following combination?

Hornady 140gn BTHP Match Bullets
Reloader Swiss RS62
Hornady Brass
Magtech Large Rifle Primers

I was planning on starting at 41gn ln RS62 and work up to 42gn which would put me around 2750fps.

Will be used exclusively for long range target shooting.

I bought a gun and it came with some reloading bits, would like to move over to the 140gn ELD bullets with Lapua brass eventually, but going to shoot what I have!

Thanks gents

Reload Swiss list a couple of 140gn bullets and the max is 44 plus gns for both so I would say 42gns would be comfortable.
RS is a great powder.

Yeah I've seen they have data for the 140gn ELD Match bullets, but was hoping for some real data for the HPBT!

I've heard good things about RS powder, looking forward to testing it next weekend

If it’s a 24” barrel I doubt 42g will put you at 2750fps, I shoot 140gr ELD-M’s with 42.5gr of RS62, and CCI 450’s and get around. 4650fps out of a 24” barrel.

Gixer

I've got a 26" barrel so I'll be getting a bit faster than what you have, but I was just going off what RS data is on the website!

Those are some mighty fast bullets at 4650fps 😉😅

You can now see the issue with iPhone keypad and fat fingers! 🙄

The extra barrel length will likely gain around 25fps/inch although you may get a fast barrel that gets you the extra 50…

I guess we'll see what happens. I've contacted RS asking for load data for those bullets if they have it. But if not I'll start at 41 maybe 41.5 and see where I get

lapua small rifle primer, rs62, 43gr 20" barrel

Was 26" before and doing 2750 ish.

Those extra 150fps make no difference out to 1000yds, suggest picking whatevers most accurate if running a ladder.

This is exactly what im looking for. I'm hoping to swap over to lapua brass and small primers when this batch of bullets run out!

Why did you swap to a 20" barrel?

Just a bit more handy once you plonk a mod on, and the 150fps makes no difference for stalking. Purchased the 26" bergara because it didn't cost the earth 🫡 then bought a pse stock that did 🙃

An update!

Shot at Bisley a couple weeks and got brilliant results! Only did a few charge weights as we were shooting as a club and didn't get much chance to shoot. But found a wicked node and some impressive SD/ES already! All 3 groups shot 0.5-0.7MOA at 600 so it's only going to get better!

Very impressed. I've got some Lapua Brass (small rifle) coming to test it in to see if there's any difference.

Good going!

Would just refine what you have rather than starting all over personally.
Save the powder and components.. will use far more starting again with new brass and primers + fireforming etc..
