Wedding Announcement

Well for a change I thought I would post a cheerful announcement.
After a very long run one of our members “Tinki” (the one with the mildly endearing habit of cutting people up for a living) has finally agreed to make an honest woman of a certain lady this Saturday in their homeland of Cyprus. I met him through the SD dating site medium after responding (foolishly) to a post concerning shooting clubs in NI his having just moved over here and despite his choice in transport and lack of anything remotely close to the English language, I am pleased to say he has become a very good pal indeed.
Foolishly (probably in the belief that we wouldn’t ever take it up) they sent us an invite to the ceremony and celebrations before and after; how little they knew the determination of Lady FB - damned new outfit was bought before she even opened the invite - so all things being well we are off to Nicosia on Thursday - wot fun!
Sooo to my great Pal Yiannis and his beautiful bride Stella, we wish you very many years of happiness together .
May hedges soon not be the only thing running round your garden!

Typed it in her presence - actually she was 2 rooms away - looking for her Doc Martens knee-length, lace-up, steel-shod boots but such are her powers she can read my typing from there.

Update - the dirty deed is done and Tinki is now a member of the “Yes I did a lot of stalking before I got martyred married” club.
For him the shooting future holds only furtive stolen moments on the SD - wishing his wife - sorry - life away and dreaming of happier times and the enchanting smell of nitro filling his nostrils….. It’s not as though I didn’t warn him!
Meanwhile 37 degrees of Cypriot sunshine is a fair substitute for what the weather is back home - clearly much too wet for fox shooting so really mustn’t grumble…

Perfect wedding and super week in the Hilton. Last day a seafood lunch in Larnaca before flying home - the big fella is in heaven and all is well with the world so what could go wrong?
Then a msg arrived on Lady FB’s fone - happy birthday!!! Yep I forgot !
I am just drafting my own SD Death Notice…..
