Swaro Z6i 2.5-15x56P - Zeroing problem

Pal has just moved his Swaro Z6i to a new rifle (Mauser 25) and can’t get enough horizontal adjustment to zero it - reckons it is 10 inches low at 50 yds and he only has 45 clicks of adjustment in total which to me seems terribly low but then I don’t know the scope.
The question is if this low number of clicks is correct will he have to put a 20+ moa rail on to sort it or is there some kind of locking adjustment system at work here?
Grateful for some experienced advice please chaps.
Much obliged.

Is the rail fitted properly? - they fit to the barrel I think? Is it tightened down correctly? Another thing to check is whether it has been bent where it sticks out behind the barrel over the top of the bolt? - put a straight edge on it to check or even eyeball it by looking along the side of it.

45 clicks sounds low. I’m sure my z6i has something like 70-80.

Has it got BT fitted, I think they were 45 clicks of elevation on the BT not the main zero so it may be he’s not taken the “top hat” off and is coming up against the zero stop on the ballistic turret rather than actually altering the zero itself.

Is the issue horizontal adjustment or vertical adjustment? Your post is unclear. I've never had to install an inclined rail for stalking with a Swarovski scope.

If needed a simple fix may be Burris XTR rings with the 5,10,20 moa inserts. Optically centre the scope reticle using elevation/windage adjustment. Bore sight or better still a collimater. Make gross adjustments of the reticle onto the collimater grid/boresight target using the +/- moa ring inserts. Once done, fine tune using the windage/elevation adjustment.
Worked for me when I had problems mounting a Z6i on a Ruger 77

Do you mean total amount of elevation adjustment? If it’s 45 clicks from one extreme to another, then something’s wrong. Pretty sure mine has 150+

Thanx D - 45 in total which to me is very low so defo suggests something is amiss!

Yep - thanx but 45 clicks seems terribly few!

Not sure but that is my thinking too. I will get him to check and return - he is in Fife and I am in NI….
Thanks.

Need to do that step 2 bit. The tool that comes with the scope screws into the little brass screw in the top and you pull it straight up and off.
