Standard on/off torch

So for some time now I have been trying to find a simple on off bright led torch.

I don’t know why it’s so difficult, everything seems to have a million modes and you have to click through on - bright - brighter - super bright - strobe - just to get to off!!

Highly annoying when just trying to look outside briefly to check on the animals etc…

So does anyone know of a simple on off torch that’s nice and bright!?

I have a similar problem, all I want is a compact but bright LED torch that will easily fit into the breast pocket of my overalls, a simple on/off switch without having to scroll through any number of pointless modes. But above all else, it has to be able to zoom from flood to spot. A nice addition would be rechargeable but that's not a deal breaker.

I called into Asda today and they had a number of decent looking torches that all had any number of combinations of my requirements, but sadly not all.

There's nothing more infuriating than all of these strobe and SOS modes on torches. Other than possibly the "tactical" bezzels which shred pocket linings to bits.

Have you looked at laser genetics, on/off and a green light like little dots it reaches farther than you can see by far, i use it for bird scaring and such like, its variable focus is from a pin head to full flood, you might like it might not it’s different than any other torch
Worth a look

I've got a tiny little LED torch off Ebay that looks a bit like a knockoff Olight. It does have multiple settings but you have to press the button to access them otherwise it's one press to turn it on and it's full power. The torch remembers the last setting you used and turns the torch on to that mode so its not necessary to scroll through various modes just to use it briefly. However as it is so bright it's actually useful to be able to use dimmer settings when moving into confined spaces. It's not the various modes that are a pain but how the torch operates.

Maglite

Have one of these - bit big for carrying around though!
Small LED Flashlight Super Bright Torch USB Rechargeable Camping Hunting 4 Modes | eBay it wasn't this exact one but something almost identical. It stays in a jacket pocket and is handy for dog walks or if I need to go and check the chickens at night.
worth a shot!

I've got a generic Ultrafire T67 torch that I used to have for camping with a red LED pill but I swapped that wor an Osram white LED and now that's my big torch. It uses two decent 18650 batteries so lasts for ages and spare batteries I have plenty of. I don't thinknid go back to using D-Cell batteries.

The little torch uses a removable 16340 650mAh battery which I'm happier with as I can remove it to charge in a decent charger. The only downside is I can't find anywhere online selling reputable replacements for the future.

Got the Evo 50 torch straight forward on off button.,takes 1 18650 battery.
I too hate strobe ,disco and multi brightness switches.
Manufacturers need to ask what customers actually want.

Got the Aldi 4 cell copy ,doesn't look identical to maguire.....🤫.
Is ridiculously bright as a mag light but less than half price.
Tis our home torch 🔦, and would be a good humane dispatch device 🫣
