Anyone got a link for tsa locks tia
TSA is American - why the need for SA? When I took rifles there a few years back we just used normal locks on the cases.
Why not?AFAIK even travelling to the US you shouldn't use TSA locks on a guncase.
Because anyone can open them. Why not?
But in theory once checked through security it goes straight to the plane, having said that, if I were going to take a rifle abroad again I would use my own locks, not TSA, they are not compulsory, but going to/from the states if the case has a hole for a lock, it must have one.

It doesn't, it'll go through the baggage system and wait untill the plane is ready. But in theory once checked through security it goes straight to the plane, having said that, if I were going to take a rifle abroad again I would use my own locks, not TSA, they are not compulsory, but going to/from the states if the case has a hole for a lock, it must have one.
Maybe it did with you, on the one occasion I witnessed it went direct to the plane, I can't say on the other 3 times, especially one where it missed my flight and arrived a day late!It doesn't, it'll go through the baggage system and wait untill the plane is ready.
