Hi, looking for a new pair of winter trousers. Ideally waterproof nicely fitted and not too baggy. I’m a 30 inch waist. It seems some manufacturers don’t seem to to that Small.
Budget around £150. What are you guys recommend?

Hagloffs rugged mountain pant or the Montane equivalent. Not totally waterproof but I’ve worn them in all conditions and never had a problem. Really good tough outdoor gear

Not waterproof but nice warm winter trousers….

Is it this model?
They look great. How warm are they?
No mine are the regular terra not super model and £100
Wanted the leg vents as scottish stalking was hard work. Didnt get cold! For active stalking they are great but prob not warm for cold high seat sits.

Thanks guys.
I’ve checked out all your recommendations.
I have plumped for two options to hedge my bets with the intention to send back the pair I least like look/feel of.

Ive taken a punt on some Bushbuck’s as I really like look of them and several other items they do. Never seen them before but the kiwis know how to make good hunting gear.

Then I managed to find what seams to be the only size 30’ Harehill Ridgegate on the internet.

Gave up on baggy and heavy Prohunters years ago and moved over to Swedteam Titans - love them.

Have to say I’m a big fan of Swedteam - they just seem to get things right.

Anyway Bushwear often have sales and would suggest with a 30” waist you stand a good chance of picking up a real deal.

Definitely worth giving them a call to see what they got for high quality decent kit. 👍

I agree. Had a couple of pairs Deerhunter trousers many years back and the fit was rubbish. Enough material to make a third leg.
I do think they have changed since.
I have a lovely pair of Swedteam Loden trousers that only really come out on super chilly frosty days.
Is it the Titan pro or the pro M you have?
Both look nice.

Have both, however have semi retired the older version after considerable use and abuse.

The older Titan Pro is more of a classic straighter roomier cut, whereas the Pro M is a bit more fitted.

Using and really like the Pro Ms - small tip is that inner thigh vent zips jingle, so I cut them off and replaced with a small 1mm paracord loop.

Otherwise superb trousers and only bought them when in the sales.
