A friend and I went out this morning, the conditions were ideal after heavy rainfall overnight. I hit a roe buck hard, maybe a little high, and it ran approximately 20m into some heavy heavy gorse. We searched for around 40 minutes, then decided we were probably ruining the shot site / scent so called UKDTR. A very sound man drove 1.5 hours to our location, and with his 2 dogs found the deer in 25 mins.
Without a dog we would not have found it. UKDTR is an amazing organisation and we are very lucky to have it in the UK. Is there anything similar in ROI?
