How popular is 20cal center fire in the UK?

Love the 204. Picking up a M77 in it today 😁😁
I have had various 204 rifles since 2005.
I owned and shot various ruger M77 rifles and they were all tackdrivers.
Some 204 rifles won't shoot the hornady 40 grain bullets accurately but all the rugers I tried shot them very well.

I had a t3x in 204 and that didn't like the 40s. Not that I minded as it used 32s to liquidise the inside of every fox it met!! 🤣
Yeah I had a sako that didn't like them either but the rugers shot everything very well.

Been shooting a 204 for 18 months now, really pleased with it, in as much I only use the duece for canada geese culls and muntjac stalking now

It is a wee bit noisier than the deuce but it is a cracking foxing without a doubt

I shoot rabbits with the 222 just head shots, no point doing that with the 204 that extra bit of oomph is really noticeable i use the Hornady super performance and the round certainly sticks to its label name

10 or 15 years ago I was rebarreling lots of .222’s to various .20 cals. Now I probably do a couple of .204 Ruger’s a year. The people who wanted to experiment and have something other than a .223 have disappeared (probably all bought a Creedmoor)
Still got lots of .20 cal blanks in stock.

Do you remember that stupidly heavy barreled Lawton in 20 Tac you built me? Was an awesome truck gun and absolutely no recoil. I may add it was accurate as hell and didn’t need it be that heavy.

20 Tac is easy to form from .223 as is 20 Practical. Getting dies might be the issue now days though. I’m back on .223 and 53gr V-Max.
