Morning F270.
Can’t really tell from your pics but there are a number of similar devices on t’internet . The important bit is the micro sd slot on the bottom (on mine) and/or the usb slot on the side (again on mine) - see below.
I didn’t have any micro sd cards so initially played (!) with downloading calls to a buffalo pen which worked fine but is a bit unwieldy and likely to get lost. Three 32 giggawotsits SD cards on Amazon Prime for about £12 were with me in two days and each holds more calls than you could shake a stick at.

Note - Most t’internet calls are short in duration and the Y-501 will only play them once before playing the next call - but fear not!
Your very own friendly SD tech guru (yes - me) realised that if you open a folder on your magic lantern (I think it’s called a PC) and load each call to a separate folder then simply copy and paste the respective call in that folder as many times as you want it to play realtime it will play each distinct call repeatedly until it finishes the last one of that call before going on to the next folder and different call. That way you can make each call as long as you wish….
Phew!
Me being an eejit genius I have copied my favourites twenty to thirty times each per folder and that gives me 5-10 or even 15 minutes of each call. If you note the individual number of each call (they are numbered by the machine) in each folder you simply enter that call’s first number on the keypad and press play. Being of a certain age I have written them on the back of the caller and photographed the list on my Iphone.
Next challenge is to record my very own utterly irresistible handsqueak and copy it to the machine. If successful this will bring to a close the unfortunate bleeding gums and loose teeth caused by long-term handsucking (short pause for schoolboy chuckles from the SD massive).
Clever FB….

PS
I will be putting luminous tape on all sides of the player. I will leave it to you to figure out why….

Could I ask which sites you download your sounds from? My internet wizardry managed to come up with what sounds like a bloke in a dunnie with a kazoo? Unless thats really how a rabbit in distress sounds! 😱🙄
Memory test at this time of day??
I basically trawled t’internet - there are quite a number free call downloads but they must be in MP3 for the player to play them. One site that I do recall is VarmintAl but there are a number of purchasable calls too - mostly for North America critters…

I bought one of these little caller things off of Facebook from, I think, Ben Spencer? But at significantly greater expense. £30!!! It came with the calls all loaded on. Works fine. I just don't seem to have much luck with callers.

Hmm.
My pal paid £47 for one - someday he will speak to me again….

Played about with my bargain caller today as the mini sd cards have arrived for it. With little effort I have now got twenty calls loaded and ready to try out.
I have been impressed by the sound reproduction and the volume is pretty good - with larger callers I think the temptation is to have them too loud anyhow.
So for less than a tenner in total I have a pocket-sized predator caller which will live in my shooting vest - let’s see how it goes…

Exactly for less than a tenner, it’s pocket size and easy to use by the video. A real world test write up would be good

For anyone that's interested in trying a few MP3 calls on one of these wonderful gizmos (I have only just ordered mine so can't really know if it's wonderful or not), I have uploaded a heap of calls that I got from another SD member some while back.

48.32 MB folder on MEGA

Caveat: Don't blame me if they're s***e, I didn't create them, and to be honest I probably haven't listened to most of them.
