Bit of a postscript to the little callers episode - now call me old-fashioned but the more alert members (both of them) will recall that I bought my first one at something like £2.89 and thrashed out a further £3 odd of the sainted LadyFB’s gin money on whatever you call those wee cards for it ……
To my amazement/shock (after being utterly surprised delighted by my humble efforts and in the spirit of friendship so common among SD johnnies, sharing my secret) old FB seems to have created a world shortage of the little magic boxes! I noticed that they doubled in price virtually overnight then went up again (I bought a further two - at £10 a pop) and are fast moving into the unobtanium league!
What a missed opportunity - forget oil, gold or shares lads - these little callers were are the futures….
