First stalking rifle

I'd definitely handle a few rifles and get a feel for how confortable they are to mount. I found that I really needed an adjustable cheek piece on the stock as I need a highish comb to avoid tucking my face down to get sight alignment. I went for the Sauer 101 Alaska for my first and probably only all round rifle. Using copper in 30-06 it can cover a wide variety of species and is a delight to shoot.

If you can make it up to calton moor range Mike has a T3 stainless hunter wood stock. sporter barrel with hausken mod. he is selling it for me on a commission sale

It's done very little work and in good condition

I prefer my 243 for the shooting I do

Can probably do a deal £500 ish or so if you like? I have some optilocks you can also have depending on what scope you choose

You can shoot it there too he sells ammo by the round

I dont have room in the cabinet to bring it home so it needs to go

But then have no money left for ammo or actual deer stalking so you will be forced to lurk on the SD discussing how you can shoot .25 MOA
