Highland Stalker Alternatives

As a general good loking tool i would not choose a kipplauf for daily buisiness . Dont get me wrlng i like mine in 7x57r for buck season start and a stalk every now and then . But when it comes to varmintcontroll during a regular stalk a boltaction is simply the practical choice for me .

If a straightpull for an ok price is of any interest steeleaction might be a nice idea . They have a lighter version out now and you can choose from 4 grades of wood for your stock . Available in 308 in a short system . I have one for driven hunts but the old more heavy one . It is a good rifle thats all i can say

I really like the Steel Action rifles. We now have an importer who supplies them in the UK out of Edinburgh, but he will hand deliver a rifle to the buyer virtually anywhere in the U.K. - what service 😃

Yes i have seen it on yt that steele action went into the uk market . It is,a pitty to hear that you need to travel far to get your hands on one just to get a feeling for one of those . All i can say is that it fitted me very well out of the box i am 194 cm tall and a lefty shooter. The hand cocking system i found very good the only other very good system i know is the one from bixn andy . You dont have this half cocking and missfireing issue like on other brands. All in all plenty of rifle for the price 10 rnd mags are available but for stalking thats of minor importance . Only downside it would not be my first choice for a highland stalk bc the old version i have is pretty heavy . But hey at least a fair excution to have more rifles 🤣
