Even more wintry bit of sport.

Not much building in this weather so bolted work around 1330,picked up the gun and dogs and held away.
Bitterly cold with blizzard conditions most of the time but a very enjoyable afternoon.
The doos were very testing in the wind and only had a handful of cartridges left over after them but enough for a cracking wee duck flight. The numbers that came in were great again and not the easiest with the snow blowing head on.
Bucks first pigeons and again took to them no problems.

Tidy!.:thumb:
Brings back memories before the spiders moved into the shotguns, unique smell on freshly picked up Ducks, very pond like:lol:
I don't shoot the ponds near as much as I used to but ducks are still up there with my favourite quarry.
The dogs well deserve a night inside after a winters evening flight.
