Wanted: Stalking/Hunting in Florida

Evening all

I’m travelling to Miami Florida in February and would really like to get some stalking/hunting in while I’m there, not necessarily only deer (could be anything really in season) but don’t have any hunting contacts there.

I know there’s some worldly people on this forum so just putting it out there, has anyone any experience hunting over there or even able to point me in the right direction?

Hog, small game and predator hunting are at their peak that month, plus coyotes. Maybe alligators in the swamps? Get your licence from Walmart style hypermarkets when in land but normally you need a BATF form #6 to allow import of firearms that requires already having a licence (buy online now a non resident Florida licence) BATF can take time to return the stamped form. Rocking up at Miami airport with guns in your baggage would be a no no for me. It has all changed after 911.

Feral pig hunting is usually cheap and available year round. Last time I enquired you can just use one of their guns. The guy said go to the supermarket to buy your ammo (no license).
Make sure to ask what they will do with the meat as they may expect you to take it with you

Thanks guys, if the state law’s are you can borrow there I’ll do that - save the weariness.

Hog hunting sounds fun & different - doe’s anyone have any contacts there already for that kind of thing before I start googling a outfitter?
