This isn’t a how to, or to offer anything other than what potentially is involved
The E Lite stock is perhaps four maybe five years old and had “hard use” on open hill roe and reds plus lowland Sitka - so well used and plenty of battle scars
The stock was fitted at creation with stud and Spartan adaptor
Plus non bolt side flush cups
However as the owner has fallen out with the Spartan system, they asked if I could fit a short section of picatinny rail for a decent bipod to be fitted
Basically I’ve adapted a Magpul short picatinny removing the key mod spigots then marked the hole spacing on the stock to avoid contact with any of the original fittings (which would cause more damage and weaken the stock if removed)
Once marked I flipped the stock and using a very sharp flat based drill cut into the carbon skin and into the filler material
Once removed the filler was covered in CF dust mixed with short strands and epoxy resin- I also bonded two appropriately sized washers into the base of each hole
Once this was cured I applied a layer of glass fibre around the hole sides to seal the stock skin against the elements
I don’t have a vaccum pump otherwise would have applied lighter weight CF sheet into each hole
Anyway - once this was cured I trimmer back to existing hole for neatness and sealed with an outdoor paint
The pilot holed for fixings were re drilled and longer 8/64 (I think) stainless fixings with nyloc nuts fitted to secure the picatinny
Enough space has been left to allow a 1/4” drive socket in to tighten / release the nuts securing
Not a straightforwards job to get done correctly
