.243 is back after a rebuild. This is purely a foxing setup.

Spec Listed below

● 19" 1/8 twist HS Precision stainless fluted barrel
● Remington 700 action
● Fluted bolt with larger bolt handle
● Timney 2 stage trigger
● Accuracy International legacy stock
● Atlas V8 bipod
● Wildcat Predator 12 Scout Mod
● Tier One 0 moa rail
● Hawkins Precision heavy tactical mounts
● HIK Micro Alpex 4k

Will at Barton Gunworks did a fantastic job with the smith work, very quick turn around, and his attention to detail is phenomenal. I would definitely recommend him for anyone looking in the East Anglian area.

Mark at High Calibre Coatings is another person i'd recommend for any cerakote work. He cerakoted all the metal work including the mod and did the camo job on the stock. He is Suffolk based.

Always wanted to build a rifle from the ground up.

It's shoot absolutely fantastic and grouped very well at 120 yards using Norma 76grn V-max as pictured below.

Now to get out and use it.

Well that is absolutely stunning! I love it and it's very inspiring to me.

I have a variation about to land for a .243 for fox and Roe.

I wanted to reconnect with my past and have a AI L96A1 to play with but the financial restraints on such dream were quickly squashed until I learnt that I could use a Remmy 700 action and drop it into a AI chassis, then down the line do similar to what you have done.

What a rifle you have there! Hope it serves you well buddy👍

Thank you sir.

Occasionally the old AI stocks come up so grab one when they do 😉👍🏻

I'm lucky enough to have a genuine AI too so this one sits in good company

Your very welcome

I have seen them pop up every now and then so hopefully one will when I have my 700 to hand🤞

maybe one day I might have a genuine AI but until then this will be the next best thing.

What AI do you have? I'm just familiarising my self with there other/newer offerings

Looks v nice. What does it weigh?
I assume your going to use it from a truck or rested position/high seats.
It might be heck of a lump if you do a lot of walked out foxing. Also are you going to reload for it?
I cannot recall the last time I shot anything let alone a fox of a bipod. Limulus sticks 99% of the time.
I spose beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

It's approx 8kg and change. Definitely not a stalking rifle. All my shooting pretty much is off a bonnet, a stable platform or prone.

No plans currently to reload for it as it loves the Hornady 75gr V-Max Superformance

You will be very lucky to get 3500 fps.
Hornady quote out of a 24" barrel 3580.
Most people find they rarely get close to the manufactures quoted velocity.
I think your in for a bit of a surprise if you chrono it's more likely to be about 3300 fps.

I did say it was a guess 🤣 tbh it's not something I've been overly concerned about nor interested in. It's primary job is to kill foxes and its doing a sterling job thus far.
