Finally decent weather for a walk.

After an absolute dire spell of rain we finally got it a wee bit more seasonal so had a whole day at a few places and ended with a duck flight.

Buck flushed and retrieved his first woodcock but the flight although superb ended with 5 teal unpicked which was very strange.Will have another look in the morning but the dogs should have been on them as were marked but will see.

Had the same thing few years ago lil pond surrounded by Christmas trees heavy mallard came through the trees lil teal hung up in tree
The keepers lab would walk around trees got a few out

Spent an hour with the dogs today but all must have been winged and made the ditch and burn.Very unusual for them all to be pricked but only thing i can presume.
