Hybrid chassis options

Went and had a look at a bunch of T3X rifles earlier with synthetic stocks. Actions seem nice and smooth but the stocks i thought were just 'ok', a little cheap feeling.

Pretty much settled on a T3X action, but having a look at whats out there stock wise, as I'd at least like to have the option of swapping it out in the future depending on how i get on. It seems like the KRG bravo is pretty tried and tested but MDT also have some interesting bits to look at too.

I quite like the look of the hybrid stocks with the m-lok attachment points, current intention is primarily deer hunting but might do the odd range day. I'm absolutely getting ahead of myself as I've probably got ages until my FAC comes through - But to be honest i just love researching stuff.

The hybrid stocks seem to add a little weight, those on here that use them for hunting - how do you find it in reality?

I've had the KRG Bravo and an Oryx. I prefer the feel and style of the Oryx but the Oryx has been designed with a few missing components so it's not in direct competition with the cheaper MDT offerings.

I have a few MDT chassis - an LSS and XRS on T3’s and a LSS on a Rem 700. The LSS (gen 2) is extremely light weight and you can add your choice of AR buttstocks and grips. Absolutely take the stalking. I favour the push button sling attachments on the stock sides and a TAB biathlon sling. Very comfy
.

I have the MDT HNT on a T3X and it works a treat, yes expensive but they do come up every now and then second hand
this would be the gold standard if one came up. Bit out of my price range to buy one new. What T3x you using? Getting a bit lost in the rabbit hole of all the variants currently!

I have a superlite 22” but you can afford to go sporting or CTR with such a light chassis
I like the CTR, ticks pretty much all the boxes for me but it’s already a bit of a lump. I think if I could find a HNT26 at a decent price it would be a match made in heaven

Put this left handed T3 together for a customer this evening. The XRS comes with 2 grips, vertical one in picture. A good budget option.

Yeah i think the XRS Chassis look great, but its heavier again than the field stock or KRG Bravo, so if i stick an already slightly lumpy CTR in there i guess id end up with something thats definitely not lightweight anymore for hunting. Really like the FDT though!
