My Verum model knife in Swedish Elmax powder steel sourced directly from Uddeholm of Sweden. This is a steel of the highest purity and specifications which give it exceptional wear resistance and edge holding.
A quick Google will show the specs of this steel, What are the benefits of ELMAX Steel? just remember with all high grade steels when being sharpened will require diamond systems, though these steels will hold an exceptional edge for a long time if stropped regularly, which is the secret of maintaining edges, when sharpening is required, diamond or ceramic must be used. I recommend the Worksharp system sold on the forum by Monarch, it really is a great bit of kit.
The knife here is 227mm in length , blade length is 114mm , spine thickness is 2.2mm and the weight is 138 grams. HRC 60
Blade is a full flat to the spine with a 18 degree secondary bevel polished to a mirror finish, the flats of the blade are hand finished to 1000 grit satin.
It features a tapering tang which thins to around 1.3mm at the rear. The handle itself is a multiple layer G10 composite in which I combines a black inner liner with red and then two bright yellow scales, the pins are also G10 composite. Certainly not a knife you will lose in a hurry
. All cased in a sheath made by Gaz Kendall which has been wet formed in order the blade remains snug in the sheath at all times.
Reduced to £385 including secure over 18s postage. ID / check required be required.
I will also supply one of my composite strop boards FOC with this knife.
