6mm non toxic experience

After a discussion around non toxic bullets with a man far more knowledgeable and experienced than myself yesterday, I'm keen to garner people's experiences of non toxic in their 6mm chamberings.
Which bullet, chambering, MV, and deer species.

I’m using 90 grain cx homeloads in a 6CM @3200 fps , been using them muntjac roe and fallow to good effect 👍

I've been loading Wapiti for a short time, 85gr loaded to their factory receipt in .243. Shot 4 muntjac all on the same day, 1 head, 2 shoulder and 1 H/L, all dropped on the spot

Currently working on NT loads for my 6XC with 85gr Yew Tree, 80gr Barnes TTSX and 90gr Hornady CX in the mix. I’m sure I will come up with a suitable load and have been very happy with Barnes in other chambering, albeit bigger ones.

I’ve worked up a load for a mates .243 using 80gr Barnes and he is very happy with the performance thus far on muntjac, roe and fallow.

A chap I know uses wapiti 85 gr I think mal, also uses them in 270

I’m going to go 6mm , my 22-250 and non toxic isn’t really good for culling.
It’s fine for one or two but no more.

I was using 80.5gr Yew Tree in my 243Win. No complaints: accurate, killed well.
Only stopped using as I rebarrelled to a faster-twist 243AI and need to develop another load.

Shooting 80gn Fox using the factory load data. Deer don’t like them at all.

I also tried the Peregrine VRG3 flat nosed 100gn bullet. Grouped well and hit hard.

Although I am keen to hear of all experience, I am also particularly keen to hear if anyone has experience of non toxic in 6mm on red deer.

Wifie uses a .243 with 80.5gr Youtree, very effective, very accurate but you are killing with the wound rather than ballistic shock.
It's heart shot at least 50 fallow, they do tend to move off before dropping as they aren't knocked over.

Barnes ttsx 80grn fine on roe but inadequate on anything larger, 243

I’ve been using federal power shok hollow point copper 85gr in my 243 on roe for a while and have head-shot a few reds. Had my first broadside red this morning - good sized calf at 70m. Went for a double lung shot avoiding the shoulders - calibre sized entry and 2p sized exit with reasonable damage to both lungs. 40m run as expected with the shot placement.IMG_6819.webpIMG_6821.webp

Barnes TTSX 80gr from 243win - 99% success on roes. 1 bullet for each. Also successfully used for red does, wild boar and fallow deer.

Beg to differ - it's about 50:50 between my .243 and .270 on fallow with some of the biggest bucks being taken with the .243. Exclusively using Barnes TTSX, 80gr in the .243 (IMR4895), 110gr in the .270 (VIT N135) and 130gr in the .308 (IMR4895).
