Hi,

As the title suggests I am looking for light weight carbon fiber quad sticks for €200-300 mark. Trying to keep my kit as light as possible but still have a good stable shooting platform.
Must break down for ease of storage.

Been googling and there is alot of choice hard to decide.

I have the Travel version of the Viper sticks, they are part carbon and the only ones that will break don small unsought to go in to a normal size suitcase. They are excellent, well made and very stable as a platform to shoot from

4stable stik ultimate carbon worked well for me in last 5 or 6 years. Those are less than 800 grams but very stable and absolutely silents. Only complaint are meant for standing shooting and cause I don't
whant dragging another shorter support I ordered a couple of spare compass-feet from factory and some carbon tubes & push buttons from ali-express making myself two shorter lower legs (installed on pic) for using when kneeling or sitting. I think newer versions comes jet in 3 stadiums legs so no more diy bother.

I meant to add the first time you do break down the Viper’s have a long hard look at how they are before you take them to bits. My first reassemble in South Africa while the PH was watching me was not my finest moment, I looked like I had a number of learning difficulties

Viperflex pro carbon. Blaser ones just fall apart, loose their little strap and the legs never seem to stay done up. Also you wouldn't want to be sticking a rope around them and using them to drag a fallow buck up a bank, but you can with Vipers.

Another option is the 4 stable carbon, but these are wobbly at best. The Spartan ones need some more refining and the rear yoke is a terrible idea.

All said from ownership of all the above.

honestly never experienced wobbling with my carbon 4stable rest..The rods may appears flimsy but they hold well individually or when used in a bucket as a walking pole. A friend of mine broke the Y rear yoke and we got the spare part in a few days via postal service. if I have one only complain is that you cannot change the heights of the rest of not modifying the wildness (parkially) of the legs or with a DIY job as in my previous pic. But after having checked rather every quad actually on the market I believe the 4stable product still whort any cents (pardon penny). Telescopic adjustment don't seems me enaught trustable and with those rests (like mijonels if I remember) that let one exceptionally wide legs opening I would have issues with the thick vegetation in places where normally I hunt

3 Years in with my blaser sticks & I abuse them. Use them for dragging out big deer between 2 of us
Solid as the day I got them. I'd never go back to the viperflex tbh

I have different knives from the cheap Moras to custom made blades but this is sittings as a backup knife in my backpack from decades. It was made in the classic northern blade shape from a family company in finland and thought to have been used also by Us CIA in undercovered operations. Don't know if is true but for shure is a ultralight knife with a scary sharp steel and convenient to carry as a folder but with many advantages of s fixed blade. Bought my fist one when I was 15teen and this is the second (now 72 years old). may be is still possible to find it.
ps no springs , layered scales or leather sheats for blood and fat filthy. Just wash and brush it and it shows up as new.

Are those quad knives and can you drag a fallow buck? Also, do they fit in the boot when folded ?
