Sold: VW Transporter, 4Motion, SWB, Manual, 2.0L, 140/150BHP

Hi all,

I know this is a long shot but I figured I’d ask - is anyone selling a SWB VW Transporter?

Must be manual with the 2.0 140/150BHP engine, and ideally with 4Motion (and a diff lock!).

I’m after a standard spec, not one converted to a camper.

i have what you want but i'm not selling !

swb T6 with 4motion and the 204bhp engine and DSG , also air suspension kombi with twin electric sliders

the diff lock option is quite rare and i don't have it but i've never missed it

I was looking other day few on ebay , some were north of 90k !! . Do make sense as somat practical

Oh wow, that’s slightly outside of my budget!

They do hold their value though, more so than other van options…

i went with mich cross climates and have to say i am quite impressed with road noise and performance , very good on wet grass which is the real problem for most 4x4s

Is it a van or a multi you are after?
I know they made a California with 4motion.

There is a van place up here selling what you are after, but its not in good condition. There's rust on all the bottom of doors, the rear quarter is rusting through from the inside, and the sills are showing signs of corossion from the inside. not worth the £13k or so he's after. The service history is there until he bought it 2 years ago, and has now sat. Many of the service items has went by the time more than mileage schedule. It's worth £5k at best but the owner paid £10k and the can was tidy back then...
I went to look at it myself to replace my T4 that's been faultless, just got rusty.

Either or really. I’d prefer one that hadn’t been converted though - less chance some dodgy work has been carried out!

I’m after one ASAP though, and the first order of business will be a ~3,000mile round trip - I want one that’s mechanically sound!

I could probably compromise on 4Motion with CrossClimates on, but it would be good to have!

I can certainly keep an eye out
The T6 we had were more circa 25 k but we do get offered lots of VW product - but as you know what you are after is a rare van

Problem is, as ever, I’m awful at making my mind up!

I think budgetary constraints may apply and one wouldn’t want Tom to end up with a scrap heap challenge van
