I stalknin wellies. Also wear them for a large part of each day for about 6 months of the year. My current chameaus have done 4 years, still water tight but now squelchy. I assume the air pocket under the heel has taken on water. It's time for a new pair but the price is eye watering! Is there anything else as good? I've has angles and the are good but the neoprene at the heels wears and becomes uncomfortable. And they are heavy. Is it a case of buy once cry once and stick with the chameaus or is there any out there as good or better without the price tag?

Tried a few - Hunter - Aigle - Barbour - But always gone back to Chaemeau

Have you looked at gateway 1 pro shooters?
Very warm, very comfy and great if you have rugby player’s calves as they have a side zip and a gusset.

I spend half my life in wellies, and the other half in sandals. Tried them all. Aigle Parcours, and Birkenstocks. They last longer than all the rest, & are really comfy.

I had le chams for 20 years and the later quality as lacking, I changed to Arxus Primo Nord Air and haven’t looked back!

The air part actually does work and worth the money!

As a quick fix (bodge), can you fill the air pocket with silicone, my chameaus lasted 10 years and were great, replaced with muck boots which while comfy, don't last anywhere near as long

Very impressed with my Skellerup wellies, extremely comfy and warm. Used them extensively for stalking in a variety of conditions and have been excellent. Can’t comment on longevity as only had them 6 months, but if they last they’ll be a great purchase.

Perfect timing. Last night my wellies split in three places on the left foot. This is the third time a pair has gone the same way, the last pair were replaced under warranty - so no more purchases for me from a certain outfit who shall remain nameless unless of course…..

Can I ask if you treat them with anything? My Mrs had some but they cracked after 3-4 years, I knows that’s good going but would be nice to make them last longer 😊
