Alpex 4K LRF shimming

Actually, I took the OPs question at face value - and then tried to explain why what he said he wanted to do was not possible
Hopefully the ensuing discussion enlightened a few people who were under a similar misapprehension
Call it pedantry if you wish, but I think the OP (and quite a few others) now have a better understanding of how the scope works - and that can't be a bad thing :)

So, don't range anything with the mag above 9x and you'll be good to go :)

Yeah.

Tempted to try some higher rings or some of the Burris xtr rings as I have them laying about.

Was only a quick install and zero as was at the guys house so need to redo it anyway but atm it’s good to go and smack a fox

If they are aware of the issues and it’s widespread then surely it’s a design fault and should be recalled and rectified 🤔
Not every design flaw gets recalled and rectified - just look at the auto industry - there are loads of cars on the road that have pretty serious design faults but the manufacturers don't issue recalls.
Pretty much the only recalls are for safety issues and these are often mandated by government
The LRF box not being where you want it to be definitely doesn't fall into the category of a safety issue :D
