Which thermal spotter to buy

Hello, As above, You will not be Disappointed , According to a chap i know who purchased one albeit non LRF as his first Thermal , a big 👍
Hello, He added the bigger Resolution made such a difference compared to my Thermal but of no worry for my general night shooting,

Hi

Yes sorry an update is over due (been too busy swatting for my DSC1)

I have been out several times from high seats in woodlands and have found the image really clear even looking under / through the tree line. Was really useful for a successful follow up on a munjac too.

As has been said by others already I had to dial down the image brightness a fair amount - especially in total darkness it was a bit mind dazzling! This is not a problem as the adjustment is there .

I got the WiFi and streaming feature working and managed to download some footage - the was quite intuitive and easy to use.

I am not totally convinced about the accuracy of the laser range finder in some circumstances but that just might be user error.

One niggle for me - it could really do with a lanyard anchor - luckily my wife found me some thin but very strong cotton tape which we fed through the handle slots and made a neck strap - but a couple of anchor points on the housing would be good .

So in summary I am really pleased with it, and certainly don’t regret buying the ATN Blazehunter (35mm lens and LRF)

Hope that helps

John what do you think of your thermal ?
I have only used the basic functions, and like you feel that it would benefit from a lanyard.
While daylight stalking it clearly picked up roe at distance very easily.
While using in a high seat I was impressed that it picked out even small birds roosting in the bushes.
On the down side, I found the instruction manual small, very basic and confusing for an aging technophobe like me.
I now need to find a bino case with a suitable pocket for it - perhaps at the Stalking Show?
Early days, but i have not been disappointed thus far.
