I’m helping or on some ground that has a chiller previously just used for birds. Looking for a way to put a simple rail in to hang deer. Don’t need anything complicated and need to keep to budget. Any suggestions of good ways to do it. Will need to support some decent size fallow. Thanks.

That's handy thanks and would avoid making permanent changes to the chiller.
I prefer stuff supported from above - easier to clean. I got some stainless steel tube and hooks from David Stretton and it has been really good and works very well.
Although there’s no rollers the hooks can still slide along the rail with the deer hanging and makes everything that little bit easier.
How are you getting them in/onto the rail? I have a very similar set up and currently need to lift them in or do a Tarzan swing into the chiller, with them on the larder winch cable (without tipping the chiller over!). Only handle reds. Cheers

Using electric winches and rails is the best thing I have ever done!
Back late yesterday with 2 fallow to get into my small chiller, 38 and 27 kg. I was tired, knackered even, after a full on day with some painful drag extractions so the last thing I was capable of doing was single-handedly struggling to get such large beasts into my small chiller. Yes, it’ll be easier with a bigger chiller but my volumes cannot justify it. A couple of Lidl/Aldi electric winches, some sliding door kit and a fair bit of making it up as I went along, has given me a system that works extremely well, makes solo handing possible and most importantly is saving my back (and patience).

Currently I man handle them into the chiller, but I've bought an electric winch, and plan on having a rail attach to the main beam of my frame and slide it along and into the chiller.
