Tripod review…Rokstad…any good?

I’m looking for a tripod for deer stalking, but not at a silly price. Has anyone used one of these? Look nice and simple for a 360° one. Was eyeing up the trigger stick or fiery deer, but they almost look a little over engineered and plasticky around the top, as if they won’t be that robust (??) they are also not particularly light. has anyone got any thoughts? , ideally didn’t want to spend over £100. Thanks

I bought something similar years ago but it was a waste of money.
Not steady to shoot off at all.
My advice is to forget about a tripod and buy a set of quad sticks.
I have a couple of good tripods as well but I only use the quad sticks when deer stalking.

Thanks, any recommendation on what ones are good without emptying my bank account.?!

used a set for years with great success

I took someone out stalking recently and didn't like their primos tripod sticks at all.

I prefer quad sticks, as do a lot of other stalkers.

I'm trying to develop an affordable 3d printed kit to make your own quad sticks with green B&Q garden stakes if you look up my other posts - hopefully available in May.

I have these Bushwear ones, so does my pal. Both were in use last night. They get a lot of action: deer, foxes, rabbits, targets. Very good value for money.

I zero off them and they are pretty good however I also tried a friend’s Blaser five-sticks last night, carbon fibre, rock solid and very light. That’s what I will eventually upgrade to when the magic money tree comes to fruit.

Your Website link is not working - looks like you need to update it to new.ersg.com

or more likely set up a redirect on www.ersg.com to new.ersg.com

(unless you are literally in the middle of putting the new site up today and i just hit the wrong time)

Twin sticks do exactly the same job as a tripod unless it a big heavy thing that the rifle is clamped into. Made my twin sticks about 25 years ago, maybe 22mm dowel with a brass hinge and held together with 2 strong O rings, likely £15 to £20 in today's money. Still absolutely fine, 3 neck shot Sika using them yesterday 👍
