Ruger m77 MK2 into weatherby vanguard stock

I might be making this up, but sure I read somewhere, that m77 MK2 is very close dimensions etc to weatherby vanguard? Can anyone confirm? If so, with modest fettling, would m77 action fit into a weatherby stock?

I've also asked SGC but more trusting of you lot!!

I think it would need more than modest fettling. The front action screw on the Ruger is angled 30 deg for a start. I'm not sure it's worth the effort unless you like a challenge.

I'm wondering now if it's howa 1500 & vanguard. Nevermind, keep searching.

Ah yes, Howa 1500, Weatherby , Vanguard, RWS 89, Mossberg & Smith & Wesson 1500 are the same - all made by Howa and lovely rifles.
