Fitting tikka ctr into standard t3 stock

Hi all. I have a ctr that I would like to fit into an aftermarket t3x stock. The rifle fits the inlet fine but a standard magazine doesn’t fit the magazine hole in the bottom of the ctr action. Does anyone make a magazine adapter, or a mag that fits the t3x standard bottom metal but the ctr action? Cheers

If the CTR has the same safety catch as the Tac-A1, you will need to file a small recess for it to sit in. If you dont it can strip the thread in the trigger body.
Edit: just re-read your actual question. The stand mag doesn't fit/stay in as a small sprung steel tab wasn't used with the ctr mags, but can be fitted to except them.

If you use a factory T3x bottom plastic and factory T3 mags…it should be fine.

It isn’t, the top of the standard mag is smaller than the magazine inlet in the bottom of the ctr action. I tried it and the standard mag rattles and flaps around inside the acto
Yup as above
Use a standard factory magazine and bottom metal (plastic)
it doesn’t work with my rifle, the top of the standard t3 magazine fits far too loosely in my ctr action

That's why you have the metal clip that's on the trigger block

Have you tried the standard bottom metal or are you still trying to use a standard magazine in a CTR bottom metal?

Also is this aftermarket stock meant to use factory plastic mags? Since many use AICS mags (in which case you don't need that small spring / clip that goes under the trigger unit attachment screw with OEM plastic mags).

CTR action is identical to T3x action. Original T3 action lacks the relieve cut under the action, that enables CTR mags to rise a bit higher. And ejection port is a bit larger in CTR/T3x compared to original T3.

Fitted a CTR mag/metal to my .307 in KKC
Requires some inletting to accommodate the wider front section but fits easily.

When changed calibre to a long action cartridge I kept the stock
Refitted the Factory bottom metal and mag retention spring attached at the trigger retaining bolt

Works fine

If you need the spring drop me a line
Loads lying around somewhere

Hi

Hi, It was my 6.5 creedmoor ctr, with a standard t3 bottom ‘plastic’ and a t3 plastic magazine in a pse stock that had just come off my mates standard t3 in .243
You need the small metal retaining clip then
