Did two inches more make it not pointable and easy handling ? Or did he upsell ?
Apologies if I didn’t make it clear, it’s my rifle and with the original 21 1/2” barrel it didn’t handle as well as my 20” Sako and Tikka rifles so I got Mike to chop it. That small change totally transformed the rifle’s handling, so much so that it’s my Summer Roe/Muntjac go to :thumb:

I’m really happy to hear that. I reckon that 3cm is all in your head, but that’s not important if it feels just right. I have a friend who can’t shoot for shjite with ammo A, but excellent with Ammo B. Both ammo types shoot same POI and group size, and I know this as it’s my rifle! 😜 He just is convinced one type isn’t very good 😂 it’s mostly what happens in the old noggin’

3d printed titanium vanward is also an option.
Weighs in at ~140 grams

Nice :thumb: Not yet sighted here in the UK and at £518, 20% more expensive than the F&D UTS131 I've just bought.

I have their old gen 1 on my Sako 308.
Been happy with it.

The f&d have the specs, but tbh i am not too keen on the shape 🙂
I have a 3D-printed Oceania Defence Alpine Hunter on my .308 (as well as a FW149 and UTS231 on other calibres) - appears to be very similar to the Vanward :thumb:

I'd bet good money that the linked Vanward is not on par with Oceania Defence.

It's protruding about 2 inches less from the muzzle. And when you go to longer models, the weight creeps up considerably.

Those looks really nice!

Now the next task is to find out how to get one in Denmark...

I don't know what's going on with Oceania Defence. Back in the day when they were introduced, my RFD friend ordered some direct from NZ. The market wasn't huge, since people were used to mods costing 100 Euro, and really high end ones 200 Euro...

After few years the NZ website kind of disappeared. There's tales from here and there about people getting hold of OD mods in UK.
