I did but it was swarmed with 50 people. And the guy I asked hadn't got a clu. Hence my question on hereWhy not go to the stalking show and look on the Blaser stand.
It either shows how popular these rifles are or how many folk dream of owning one - perhaps both.I did but it was swarmed with 50 people. And the guy I asked hadn't got a clu. Hence my question on here
Hi all does anyone near Stoke-on-Trent have one with different barrels. I could take a look at please?
Go online and there’s a table of barrel calibres, diameters and lengths available from Blaser. If you want a custom barrel and you don’t have an old donor barrel to sacrifice factor in around £400 extra for a “stub” also known as a barrel extension, to allow your gunsmith to make a barrel that accepts the annular locking system.
R93 and R8 both great rifles. R93 slimmer and lighter but factory barrel availability is difficult. R8 has detachable mag and trigger but is heavier and widening the palm.
Blaser action is marmite, most love it, some hate it. The “safety” is actually a de-cocking lever meaning it releases the firing pin spring pressure. This allows you to safely carry it with a chambered round, although there will be a number of views on that, depending upon situation.
Correct, when you take the safety off, you actually cock it and when you put it on you decock it.....it's alien to start with but soon second nature. So do you to re cock then to fire ?
Yes safety is like a stiffer shotgun safety but on the back of the bolt. You use your thumb to cock the rifle and ready the rifle to fire. Very easy and user firendly once your used to it.So do you to re cock then to fire ?
When you push the safety forward to the fire position you’re decompressing the firing pin spring. You don’t have to re-cock in terms of re-cycling the bolt (and therefore ejecting a live round. You just push the safety slide forward and you’re good to go. For rifles with larger calibres and less space for rounds in the magazine insert, this allows some shooters to have a full magazine and manually insert the first round, gaining them an extra shot.So do you to re cock then to fire ?
