Does anyone carry a small pocket size tool kit if so what do you have in it.

Iv got a small pouch and was going to put a few basic tools in Allen keys screw drivers maybe bc a pull through

Any thoughts

Thanks

Mine's gradually turned into a peli case with SAE, mretic and torx drivers, tape, spare batteries etc etc etc

I'd recommend having a rolled length of curtain wire (longer than your barrel!) - it's compact and rigid enough to clear the barrel of most things should you need to.

I have a fix it sticks kit - middle of the range one with the common torque gauge for a scope - been awesome - expensive but it’s quality stuff I just keep the little Allen keys that come with scopes in the kit to use if needed. Nice kit is nice to have. I did occasionally tape Allen keys to the stock on the other side of the check piece - full bit of tape over the whole thing - keeps it fixed in place but easy to get to.

Likewise with the fix-it-sticks, I've added bits to it, but the kit's great for all things shooting or twanging arrows from a compound bow

Are you going to war or deer stalking?

If rifle is properly serviced, only thing going wrong is you dropping or bumping it, in which case it’s back to camp for zero check etc anyway.

If the Op means tools for a range bag then he should fill his boots and not forget the all-important target stapler!

As for lugging tools around a wood when stalking, don't. Your vehicle is the place for such kit. If you drive a Landrover there will already be enough on board to cover your needs.

I don’t just mean for stalking if out zeroing I would need Allen keys to adjust scope or if I needed to clear the barrel. Not talking about a full tool kit just some people carry a handful of usefull tools on them
