Looking for a cheap(ish) old glossy scope to put on my old Mauser 201 (.22LR)

Either fixed or variable magnification and ideally 40 or 42mm objective and 1 inch tube.

Maybe an old Tasco, Simmons, Nikko Sterling gold crown or similar…

OOOOh - I've got something that might fit your needs VERY well - came on my 10/22 Ruger when I first acquired it decades ago. I'll hoik it out and put up some pictures for you :thumb:

So, it’s a bit more battered than I remember, has obvious scope ring marks but it’s still very clear and bright. It says Kassnar Wide in orange in the side and 4x - the objective is approximately 40mm which is odd as the only reference to these “tv”-shaped scopes were 32mm ones. Solid cross wide cross hairs with thin central portion. Definitely a 1” 🙄

It’s doing nothing here and I’ll never use it - DM me an offer if you are interested 👍 Also, appears to have exceptionally long eye-relief compared to my normal scopes!

Option 2:

My very first scope from decades ago when I was earning a pittance. Its marked up JLS Stutzen 6x42, is bright and clear (dust in photos is external), is a 1" and has 3-thick pillars with a central point as a reticule, has scope bite marks again (authentic 😉 ) and again is never going to be used by me again!

I’ll throw in this Edgar bros variable with 30 mill tube too for no extra cost.
