Beautiful scenic West Coast Estate

We are a family-owned estate, 20 minutes from Oban on the West Coast of Scotland.

The estate in total, is around 14 000 acres of upland terrain, mixed woodland and pasture.

We have a working farm with a suckler herd and a few sheep.

During the season the family enjoy deer stalking and fishing. There is a small boat kept at the nearby marina.

We are looking for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks and who can work well within the existing team. You must be honest, reliable, hardworking and have excellent time keeping skills, with proven longevity in previous jobs.

Working full-time, including non-office hours when the family is in residence and during busy times such as silage cutting and baling.

You will support the other team members with general estate duties, wood processing, strimming and maintaining riverbanks, plus other ad-hoc jobs. Working with the Farm manager, helping with the cattle and sheep and you will be required to lead deer stalking groups during the season.

Some experience with farm machinery, cattle, sheep and deer stalking is necessary.

More importantly a genuine willingness to learn the skills required.

DS 1 Certificate required DS 2 a bonus

Firearms and shotgun licence

ATV, Argo and quadbike tickets, also tractor and telehandler experience.

Boat licence an advantage

We offer a competitive salary and pension, with a good 3 bedroomed cottage and vehicle for estate duties.

If you enjoy rural living and beautiful scenery, with a keen interest in stalking and farming and would like to become part of a hardworking team, we would love to hear from you.

Wow, what a great opportunity. I hope you find the right person for this position.

I feel like I would be a great fit, but I'm still waiting for my Dsc1 exam in August. I've also just applied for my firearms certificate.
I grew up on a farm in Poland, so I have some experience with farm machinery and animals. I have a telehandler's license and I can drive tractors and quads. I can work hard and I'm willing to learn new things. I'm also willing to relocate.

Unfortunately, I still need some time to get the right qualifications, so good luck finding the right person.
