It is for a 6.5x55 Swedish thanks
Hi thanks for thisHello mate, hm, i cant find that bullet in gordons reloading tool.
However just playing and around and running a load for 46.8grn of n160 , with a 130 grn barnes tsx s, in a 6.5x55 se in a 24 barrel, it gives me:
load ratio: 97, burned prop: 100%, MV: 2837 fps, max pressure: 54558 (so pretty close to the official cip max).
Hm, odd, and we're talking a modern 55114 psi of pressure set as max here, right?Hi thanks for this
A friend of a friend run it through his quick load system and he has come up with a max charge of 42.4grns of n160 for that particular head …?
Having really struggled to find an accurate factory load in 6.5x55 for my Sako 85 I found that 44 grains of N550 with the 130 grain Hornady CX will shoot sub MOA groups with a MV of 2791fps. 44 gr is near to maximum, so it would make sense to work up to this...Evening

I tried N160 with the 130gn Hornady CX bullet in my 6.5 x 55SE. I worked up from a 36 gn starting load which produced 2294fps and not terrific group size of 1.3". I worked up to 42gn of N160 which produced 2568fps. Accuracy was marginally better, but not what I was looking for.Evening
