Stuck sea rod

Hi all the fishing folks. I have a carbon fibre 10ft sea rod bass boat rod that is refusing to come apart
(butt section! that's refusing to come apart) try as I might it's not having it. !
Any suggestions ?

I had the same with an uptide rod, wd40 do a release spray, good squirt left it a few hours and it came free

Have you tried the 4 hands technique? Each person has 1 hand either side of the joint, steady pull apart. Can add a slight twist into it as well.

Never failed me on my salmon rods and had some very stiff sticks there.

Wrapping a couple of elastic bands either side of the joint can give you a better grip and help as you give it a slight twist when pulling it apart

Hot water a couple of times, couple of tea towels to get a grip of it.

Always carry rubber tubes 3” long split lengthways to slip onto rod sections to increase diameter slightly and provide more grip to undo the sections. Never failed me.

Had similar with a carbon fibre seat post in a pushbike frame. Absolutely solid, I ended up having to butcher it to get it out piecemeal and it was a right job.
They do a special release grease for carbon fibre so be careful what you do use, some chemicals can swell the fibres apparently obviously making the situation worse.

K it's 10ft i could try just the butt end or some wD40 tried twisting with rubber bands and no joy with that one .

it may end up as a one piece bass rod

Or take the simple option, and buy a bigger freezer....

Read my above post and do some research.
I have a feeling, struggling to remember now as it was a few years ago, wd40 wasn't a good option.

I wouldn't use WD-40 on anything but cars. It's nasty stuff really.
