Oooooh matron! I simply can’t tell you how I misread your last line…Have you tried the 4 hands technique? Each person has 1 hand either side of the joint, steady pull apart. Can add a slight twist into it as well.
Never failed me on my salmon rods and had some very stiff sticks there.

K it's 10ft i could try just the butt end or some wD40 tried twisting with rubber bands and no joy with that one .Place in a chest freezer if it will fit?
