No, I don't do a lot of game shooting. I did at one time do a reasonable amount, but on the whole I didn't like the type of people involved, so it wasn't a very pleasant way to spend a day.Do u do a lot of game shooting?

Do you think the use of lead shot over wetlands causes harm to birds?Connor. Where are the bodies?
"No safe level of lead" is a meaningless mantra. You might as well say that - though we need it to live - there is no safe level of oxygen, a ferociously corrosive element. Except, lead in projectiles is far less reactive than oxygen.
You - as part of an ad-hoc cabal of shooting organisations - all decided, without consulting the membership who pay you, to surrender to anti-shooting propaganda masquerading as environmentalism and public health concern, and you have been painting yourselves into a corner ever since.
You have never challenged the anti-shooting narrative on lead projectiles, or even called for more research before an epoch-making decision is made and an irreversible constraint is placed on millions of shooters (including those generations who follow us).
You are there to fight for us. That is your job... not to tell us to be good fellows and toe the line.
I will keep my "world view" as you call it, until presented with a plausible case for changing it.
For example, the case for not using lead over wetlands crossed that threshold, so I switched there... but lumping inland shoot-raised duck in with wild coastal waterfowl, as much of the current babble does is nonsense, and should properly be denounced as such.

I fear that you are right on every count.

I have no reason to "hang around" shoot huts these days.
If I wanted to shoot game birds nowadays I could do so on the land that I own and on adjacent land over which I own the sporting rights. No need to involve anyone else if I don't want to, or go anywhere else. Prefer shooting solitary, which is one of the appeals of stalking.
Been shooting for more than 40 years, if you count the airguns of childhood. Just over 35 years since I had my first SGC.

You only have to take a walk around the game fair, and listen to some of the conversations going on, to realise that there's a lot of shooting folk who clearly don't live in the real world. It's like they've thrown a bubble around themselves, and anything outside that bubble must be wrong.Fair play.
But i will say do u think that puts u in a good position to judge whos living in the real world thou in reguards to shooting??
The type of folk doing a lot of comnercial shooters are very different from most lads involved with Diy syndicates
Huh, he must be nearly a millionaire! They're just fighting what they see as some kind of class war,
Read enough threads on here and it will become pretty clear to you that, if viewed from the other side of the fence, we shooters (including you dear) are super self righteous, and all vegans are infidels!Huh, he must be nearly a millionaire!
It's an ideology war not a class war.
All vegans are super self righteous and we, including you dear are the infidels!!
I'm having a touch of difficulty with the idea of taking advice on living in bubbles and being out of touch with the real world from a landowner living in North Wales who thinks that others ought to climb down from their ivory towers and join the crowd. You don't get much more insular than that. Is it just me?
Conor O’Gorman had personal knowledge of two” prized pintail” that succumbed to lead shot poisoning due to a shot at a corvid flying over their pond. Had you two similar duck you could have saved yourself the bother of sieving and have them hoover up the pellets for you.I seived Ts of stinking silt from a ponds, 1 that shoots 200 duck on a drive, never found a single pellet.
I'm fairly happy that there is evidence that dabbling ducks can be harmed by inadvertently picking up lead shot as they feed. I don't believe the claims about the scale of this problem. I also don't believe that duck are going about picking up harmful doses of lead shot from ponds or fields on inland shoots.Do you think the use of lead shot over wetlands causes harm to birds?
Hmm, not so sure. I don't try and stop or change vegan diets or vegetarians diets.Read enough threads on here and it will become pretty clear to you that, if viewed from the other side of the fence, we shooters (including you dear) are super self righteous, and all vegans are infidels!

Best thing that could happen to shooting would be to burst that bubble, and for shooters to climb down out of it and be part of the crowd.
We know that the likes of Pakham et al aren't really that fussed about shooting. They're just fighting what they see as some kind of class war, and unfortunately a lot of shooters seem to want to pile as much fuel on that fire as they can, and then get all indignant about the heat.
From the deceased effects property store of the Midsomer Constabulary as many murdered there seem to have been wearing such shortly before their end.Where do they even get those trousers???
That sounds a rather tall tale.Conor O’Gorman had personal knowledge of two” prized pintail” that succumbed to lead shot poisoning due to a shot at a corvid flying over their pond.

I know you had your wings clipped on PW, but as you are just here for BASC bashing and slagging Conor ( not KonorConor O’Gorman had personal knowledge of two” prized pintail” that succumbed to lead shot poisoning due to a shot at a corvid flying over their pond. I don’t know where you get your information from but I’m still enjoying posting on pigeon Watch last was group sizes on an hw35E I bought from a member on the forum. Haven’t seen Conor posting recently regarding his lead ingestion figures I guess the negative feedback curtailed that line of posting. Anyway rather than simply slagging Conor I think you’ll find my posts are a reasonable criticism of questionable behaviour and unsubstantiated claims using incomplete data.. I noticed you ran off after your last irrelevant comments rather than comment on the issue I raised on the other thread You seem to be limited in your ability to contribute a reasoned argument but big on pointless rhetoric. Never mind you’ll mature in time hopefully. Might put you on ignore as you are so boring but your idiotic remarks are entertaining so maybe not atbI know you had your wings clipped on PW, but as you are just here for BASC bashing and slagging Conor ( not Konor) why don’t you pay a few quid and support
