Have things ripened earlier?

Too small, too dark colour and flesh too yellow in the OP pic to be Cherry plums Which are a brighter cherry red and have red flesh

I believe, as @Apthorpe said, that cherry plums are quite variable. Having said that, I also believe that the terms "mirabelum" (in various permutations of spelling) and "cherry plum" get used as a kind of catch-all to describe several kinds of small hedgerow plum.

Wife saw ripe blackberries yesterday.

We’ve had ripened and going over blackberries for a couple of weeks North of Manc.

Picked some ripe blackberries in the garden a week or two ago, plenty more are ripe now. Never known them to be ripe so early in Lancashire.

Plums are falling here in our street.
Cherry's look ready and apples are thriving.
I too think the heatwave has rushed them along this season.

They are definitely cherry plums, which come in all manner of colours. We have an abundance round here in Herts.

Everything's early.

October raspberries coming through. Blackberries all over the place. Apples too.

Even the vine in my garden has a heavy crop of grapes that have just started to colour. Way ahead of where it has been over the last 15 years.
