Athlon Rangecraft Velocity Pro Radar Chronograph £359.99 Or Garmin Xero C1 Pro Chronograph £529.99?

out of interest who is selling the athlon rangecraft velocity pro for £359.99. i am looking for one of these as they are cheaper than the garmin. i have called a few places and they are all asking £399/£450/£475 <i was told the athlon screen is smaller than the garmin but have not compared them<i would think they are made in the same factory .>

I've got the Athlon, works like a charm. Picked it up for the same price of £360.
Edit for more context: I've tested it with air rifle, .22lr, 22-250, 6.5 Creed and .308. Hasn't missed a reading yet.

The Athlon has come out top in every comparison I've seen.
I've got an Athlon my mates got a Garmin, we've used them side by side and the Athlon tends to read a few FPS higher but i think its picking the bullet up faster than the Garmin is.
The Athlon always has a reading on the screen first.
Screen size the Athlon is slighter bigger and I think is clearer to see. The stand is metal unlike the plastic one with the garmin, the Garmin blew over In the wind, the Athlon didn't.
My mate had to spend another £30 on a case as his didn't come with one, the Athlon comes in a purpose made case.
Mines been faultless and hasn't missed a shot, it's been past round the range for anyone who's wanted it, it was picking up black powder pistol calibres, air rifles, someone's 243 who was sending out 55g stuff out at nearly 4100fps!

I’ve had my Athlon for a few months now. I have ran it side by side with the Garmin on 223/6.5cm and 308 a couple of hundred rounds on each, plus 22 lr and 177 sub 12 HW100.
It’s no better or worse in accuracy than the Garmin. It does read slightly faster fps, but the SD and ES was almost identical.
Time will tell if its life span stands up to the Garmin.
However, for the slightly larger easier to read screen, included case and better tripod it’s a very good buy.
At £350 from Tactical Scopes (now 100% owned by Optic Warehouse) it’s cheaper than buying direct from OW.

The only difference I can see is that the Athlon says its not suitable for indoor use (due to radar bouncing off walls potentially affecting the reading) , whereas the Garmin says its ok for indoor use. However I've never tried either in any capacity so I don't know what would actually happen in this scenario.
How do either of these two compare with the (much more expensive) Caldwell VelociRadar?
the Tactical Scopes webpage says it’s 2 years for the Garmin and the Rangecraft is -

Both will not read bc like the Caldwell and fx true ballistic

Would you like to expand that in more detail?
To accurately read BC you need at least two data points some distance apart.
I would expect that paying twice the cost would result in extra benefits.
I can’t find any data that proves the FX can read velocity at several distances. It shows data points at muzzle, 25,50,75 and 100yds. Without some sort of proof it’s read velocity at muzzle and at range, it’s just an algorithm
I will be happy to be proven wrong
