My .452 loves the cci segmented
cz452 not grouping.

isnt that basically the same rifle? I dont believe my rifle is at fault here. I love CZ as well and for me that weighs heavy as well. I have had some amazing rifles like a l61r in 30-06 that just never felt right.
I love CZ, and this rifle feels great, probably will shoot just as great once i have sorted out ammo.

So far i have found at least a couple of ammos that shoot good, just not amazing. at 50m i would have no issue taking the norma tac out. But iam hoping to find that perfect match
I suggest get an inexpensive Teslong borescope and check the bore for gouges or flaws. I bought a hardly used BSA .22LR supersporter that didn't group. It turned out there was a gouge in the rifling about 8mm from the muzzle. I cut off the top 10mm of the barrel and recrowned it and now it shoots cloverleaf groups at 25yds and is decently accurate at long range too.

I chopped this Brno's barrel to c18" with a BluePoint pipe cutter and threaded for a PH silencer back in 1984. Still shoots 5-shot 50-yard .5" groups with RWS ammo in 2025:

looks like the base rifle is near identical to my 452. Wasnt CZ just a rebranding of the old Brno factory? or some kind of merger? bit foggy on the history there but i do know some Brno rifles became CZ

From 2003, the company continued to decline; in June 2006, arms production was discontinued. On 8 August 2006, the last employees were made redundant. Shortly after, at the beginning of September 2006, Zbrojovka Brno auctioned machine equipment at public auction. The machines and intellectual property were purchased by Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod. Česká Zbrojovka restarted rifle manufacturing on a smaller scale. Zbrojovka Brno continues to make hunting rifles to this day as a subsidiary of Colt-CZ

In the 90's I bought new a Brno hornet.
It's stock was awful and warped and pressing on one side of the barrel.
I made a jig that allowed me to wedge the fore end over whilst over a large pot of boiling water. Eventually the wood softened and I wedged it over then let it cool and dry over a couple of days. It worked. I was only 24.

They are 70's Redfield rear mounts & rings (1") from two sets intended for a Sauer 90. The contored bases were 'dammed' prior to filling with Devcon, and then filed down to match the Brno's flat action. I then drilled & tapped the action to receive the bases.
Looks a lot slicker than using clumpy PH tip-off rings that clamp to the receiver c/o those agricultural screws.

No way , that's terrible , that's so bad it could be bent barrel , or cam the bolt
something is weird. I switched the scope, free floated the barrel. shot fine. Today again a string like that and suddenly it shot normal again.
