Wanted: Birthday hind stalking in Scotland

I would like to book some hind stalking for my birithday which is early February. I was thinking about a couple of days in 2026.

I have only stalked in Scotland once before, which was a couple of fantastic days on stags on the Meggernie estate, near Glen Lyon. They are fully booked for the 2025/2026 hind season.

Does anyone have any suggestions for estates I could consider please?

I’d highly recommend Thom Wells wellssportingandcountry@gmail.com amazing ground and he really works to give you a great day on the hill and make sure you don’t go home empty handed.

Glenartney on Drummond Estate near Crieff is worth a look. They still use the garrons on the stags but not sure if they do on the hinds.

Atholl Estates or Murthly Estate near Perth are very accessible and worth a consideration if you aren’t going far north. Cracking places in the foothills of the Highlands. Can add a day trip to Dunkeld/Pitlochry in too.

Equally the estates around the Angus glens offer some great terrain. Glenisla, Glenogil, Glenclova, Glen Prosen could all be worth a google to see what’s available.
