For the new Stalkers....

Again for the New Stalkers a good time to take a Muntjac doe as I could see she was pregnant also the results after she was shot.
I don't often open the sack up but a good opportunity to see the workings of a pregnant doe so you will be aware what was moving and why.

Thanks for posting, never seen one that far along before and certainly not moving after the mum is dead!

Blood migration not Bruising!

This chest/lung shot Fallow 160 yds (good layer of fat) laid on the exit side for around 25 mins, field gralloch then back to the truck with more light to be finished off.
Skinned this morning with the white layer of fat giving a good contrast, 150gn S Gking from a .270
Lots of posts in the past about bruising with a clear example of the blood (like blotting paper with ink) moving through the layers then stopping.
Exit
Exit with layer/flap cut away

How have you found it? as when I used my one (last night) when I can get them up in the air (my hoist) I strip the fur off the sternum around a inch wide which leaves a line to follow. Big deer I start at the sternum as in the past the large gralloch has rolled out while cutting the sternum.

I’ve only used it on roe and munties, all suspended and it’s been handy bit of kit, don’t know what it would be like on big stuff
