Need advice on mounting a Swarovski z8i 2.3-18x56 rail mounted on my tikka t3x lite, what mount can I use and bearing in mind I’d like to keep it low?
Maybe innomounts?
Any advice greatly appreciated
Thanks

There’s my tikka, which I’m sure is the same as your own. That’s the height with Burris xtr signature rings in medium.

Personally I really like the Spuhr one piece hunting mount that attaches straight to the Tikka Dovetail rail. No layering of components like a picatinny rail or the Sako Optilocks. Both options are tried and tested admittedly, I just think the one piece mount looks well and inspires confidence that there is something less to go wrong.

I will have to give these a look, are they expensive and readily available? 👍

yes agree! So your scope is a ringed scope!!! But I’m talking about a railed scope so as you say why spend all that money and potentially crush with all those expensive optics in by using scope rings.
Much better to mount the scope underneath by a rail mounts. But they say the problem with this is the scope site high and it’s that what I’m trying to get to the bottom of? 😁

Apologies, I automatically thought you meant the tikka rail and not a rail on the scope. I am not aware of any low profile mounting solutions for a railed scopes. With a quality mount the risk of crushing a scope is about the same as mounting a railed scope. But you get the benefit of being able to mount it lower.

Innomount are some of the only mounts I’m aware of for a railed scope mounting solution. Or buy a Blaser, their mounts work very well with railed scopes. I had one with a Zeiss V8 but when I sold the blaser the scope went for this very reason.

I'd go with a dnz high mount. Super Sturdy and won't leave a mark on your scope tube.

If you really want a rail mount then get an engineering shop to make you something decent.
