The Hikmicro 4k Lite is terrible. Advice welcomed

1. Click top turret to access the menu
2. Scroll down to advance settings, four boxes with the top right titled, click on it.
3. The third icon down is a magnifying glass with for corners surrounding it, click on it.
4. Set to “fixed”
5. Long click back to advanced settings
6. The second icon down is a cross hair titled “zeroing” click it to access the next menu.
7. The sixth icon down in this menu is a cross hair with B in it, titled “thickness” click on it.
8. I set mine at 3 but choose what is best.
9. Long click back to choose colours etc.

Have a go and if not I’ll call you this afternoon, this is on Alpex 4K LRF so apologies if it is different software to the lite.

I dont have the sixth option (Crosshair with a B in it) - It isnt there ....

The point of PiP is to give you a zoom for ID/aiming in the PiP box while maintaining the maximum FoV in the main image for situational awareness. Zooming the main image as well would diminish that functionality. Conversely, zooming the main image out automatically fulfills the function of PiP just as much as zooming the PiP box in manually does.
The ranging box is off-centre because your mounts/rail are off-centre, so the only way the scope can put the reticle on target is to squint at the target through the edge of the display. Sort out your mounts, and zeroing will put your reticle in the centre of the display, and thus much closer to the ranging box, which is permanently aligned close to the centre of the display and will therefore stay in view as you zoom in.
There many be actual performance issues with the HM 4KL, but the above are just user preference/error.
PIP gives you x2 magnification, so x40 on the Zulus, which is excellent.

My mounts are brand new Element mounts, and the Vulcan has an in built 20MOA rail - so respectfully, you are incorrect there.
Again, I've mounted the zulus on 3 different rifles now of varying types, calibres etc - never once had an issue with the LRF box being almost un-usably off field of view.

@12gsnapcaps … apologies that the call was unsuccessful. The lite has a different menu without the thickness function.

Please see attached screenshot of the transferred warranty that Hik have given me. However, upon research it says the official position is that the warranty is none transferable. Very weird. Contact the original owner to request a copy of the original receipt. Your app states that it is already registered by you. That means it may have never been registered by the original owner and so no ‘transfer of registration request’ is required. Once you have the original receipt I would use the app to send the unit back to Hik for warranty repair as the turrets etc should not be stiff to use.

The Alpex Lite is a good little scope, daytime is excellent, lowlight is excellent, night time the big brother Alpex 4K with the faster F1.2 lens obviously performs better, but the Lite is capable at night out to 100-150yds with a decent image using the right IR. It has a big appeal with the users who want a tube style and lightweight. There's something out there for everyone. A lot of stalkers have chose the Lite due to its small format and they use it for daytime and lowlight as it performs much better than an glass optical scope in these conditions..

What IR would you recommend for the Lite? And mount? (I just bought one from you, and like it very much so far).

What is the minimum parallax focus distance on the v2?
There is no parallax to adjust because it’s a camera and the reticle is electronically overlaid on the display.
Not my words but taken from a post by the late mealie jimmy. (Bruce)

on a stalking rifle the lite is great, if your going to be shooting 200+ yards at night then get something else,

the light is not great last light compared to the original alpex or the big 4k , but its so small and light even with a dark engine blade ir it still weighs 250 grams less than the original alpex , and is a much smaller package.

1 second start up is really handy

as a small light weight digital scope with recoil activated recording ect and blastic calculator , good day image and is more than usable for stalking distances after dark , its a good stalking scope , crap foxing scope
