A new description for ammunition.

Who Woody ?
He's a 'supporter', he not only pays to be a member but he also wants to attract the missinformed and uneducated by calling Bullets, Bullet-Heads.
Woody did admit to not actually getting round to reloading so he was probably educated (into calling bullets, heads) by the person who sold them to him .... a person who in my mind is a complete thicko and possibly verging on being dangerous.
What else has he 'taught' people new to the sport, that gunpowder/reloading powders explode ?

Same with Tom (although he's not a suporter) he's been trying to sell his Heads since August - call them by thier real name Tom, Bullets they are , not Heads.

Just so we are all on the same page, here's a picture of some heads ...

What happened to your previous comments on head sales threads as they vanished lol

More commonly referred to as a "Head" in marine applications ............... and there is a "Head" hole right in the middle.

but it is a toilet right ?

so what it's called in niche environments is hardly relevant?

i believe our colony the other side of the world calls it a dunny for some reason ?

Maybe Bullets referred to as heads is a "Niche" thing for numpties.:-|
It could evolve, .......... Ammunition tops? pointy bits? spinny bits?:-|

or, maybe some people call projectiles 'heads' because they know it winds people up, just a thought?

like your toilets 'head' reference , i'm sure when you are not at sea and someone says the toilet is over there that you don't crap your pants because they used the wrong terminology? or maybe you do to make a point?

ultimately it's pouring with rain out in my yard so i'm gonna stay in the office and pointlessly wind people up on stalking directory and local facebook village groups

When you think about it, calling the end with the primer in it the head does seem a bit nonsensical. It’s very much at the base…

Calling the flying bit the head does make a sort of intuitive sense.

Re. The warship discussion: why are toilets on ships called heads??

Yes, once it has been projected out of a barrel.
A brick is a projectile once it's thrown at something.

Technicaly anything becomes a projectile when it enters one of three states .. either an Oblique Projectile Motion, or a Horizontal Projectile Motion, or a Projectile Motion on an Inclined Plane.
Isn't physics great ...
If it doesn’t manage to achieve any of these three states is that Projectile Disfunction?
Or am I just being skoolboyish…..
