I learned my lesson (I think)

Never shoot a red stag In a piece of ground surrounded by bog! Unless you want too be covered in blood carrying out the haunches on your shoulder and dragging the ribcage up a hill.

Shot at about 7:30 and It was 12 time I went home... busy week next week considering there's a hind and a stag In the larder and we had a roe in there earlier this week.

You'll need to do it about half a dozen times before it properly sinks in 😳😅😅

I need to know more about that beautiful Stutzen, too 🤪
I'm being mentored by someone that has a love for Stutzens and I must admit they've really grown on me too, I believe Its Rugar made rifle, There's some really unique history regarding this particular rifle and how It got pulled too be used In a court case after buying it from the previous owners at a gun shop.

In all reality Its a collectors rifle with the history that see's a bit of woodland stalking occasionally but Its the best fitting rifle I've ever used so we broke It out the cupboard a back In september when funny enough I couldn't shoot a stag from this same field with how comically large the other .243 was for me. 😬

Not a gun expert but I would say Its a 16" barrel? (at most 18") and weighs in the 4lbs area, Is teeny tiny.

Not much recoil on it but it leaves a pretty comical muzzle flash since Its unsuppressed lol

Is it a Ruger Mohawk
It seems too be the m77 International It has the red shoulder pad as well and the slide safety.
I do believe the rifle pictured above Is the Compact version so In total length Its 35" where the regular version runs In at about 42-45" and anywhere from high 6's too 8lbs.

At least I have the understanding now soon as I apply for my FAC finding another compact version would be a fantastic idea, they shoot pretty well I've found.

I think but do check, that Remington made the Mohawk but not in stuzen.
I believe the short m77 were the international range of options but would like to be corrected.
Many years ago I was in Mcavoys in Standish.
He had a mohawk stuzen in 243 it came with a nikko sterling gold crown scope . It might have been a remington

Thanks lads.

I was so tempted by a Mohawk years ago in 308 but declined.
Think they also did a ribbed barreled version in 35 Remington magnum.
