Any feedback on the 6.5mm 102.4 grain Yew Tree Super X on roe deer?

Is anyone using this bullet on Roe deer? Looking for experience of penetration or lack of it, degree of meat damage and muzzle velocity that you are starting it at.
Thanks in advance 😀

6.5x55 - I have done a brief ladder test which yielded velocities lower than expected but still in the 2850fps ballpark. With limited testing it did seem accurate though. I’m wondering whether to increase the powder charge in search of more velocity or stick at that speed.

Go faster, light bullet so I reckon you should be seeing 3000fps. My prc sent these over 3550fps without any pressure signs 👀 unfortunately accuracy was an issue so never went any further. I might delve back in to it again. Good luck

Shot a couple of roe with it. Assumed 2990 at muzzle seems to be confirmed by drop tests. Extremely accurate but of the ones I've shot, chest at normal stalking distances, a little too much damage for my preference, and that was without hitting shoulders. I will try the 114g at some point, and hope they are a little less damaging? Assume if it were travelling faster, results would be more damage.

The 114 are in my experience, accurate in every rifle I’ve tried them in , but damage can be “excessive “

They are amazingly accurate!

My PRC shoots them at 3450. It poleaxes everything, but the mess can be a bit much at short range.

I think if I slowed them down to 3100 or so, they’d be perfect.

The only bullets I've not managed to get shooting out of my PRC 🙃 gutted because they worked so well in everything else

The 114g can cause damage at circa 2900 but by god do they work.
