Much heavier than F&D's though and only in M14x1 and 1/2" UNEF I believe:Hi Nick,
I have just read my response back, it doesn’t read very well. I was referring to the moderator cover not being made very well if it melts and can’t handle the heat.
I completely agree, it’s all about slowing that gas down wbere it will inherently capture the heat ans with it suppress the noise.
Who supplies the B&T mods? I need a new mod for my 6mm creedmoor and will always take your recommendations.
Best regards
Dave

Hi, they are available in most threads up to 18x1. They may be heavier than F&D but the build quality is much better and they are quieter. They are also capable of range use whereas the F&D is not
Maybe @Ronin can advise on B&T - old post but I'm not finding much on the Internet:

You won’t get a quieter mod!
Don’t all mods necessarily have an integral brake?Has anyone tried one of the new DPT mods with an integral muzzle brake yet?
I am interested in the idea for range use
Thanks
My apologies: the brake is attached to the end, to reduce muzzle flip further. The brake is not integral, i.e. internal to the moderator.Don’t all mods necessarily have an integral brake?
Interesting that the link starts with a F&D UTS131 - running one on my .270 and it’s a great result across the board in terms of attenuation, weight, balance and size. Are mods on ticket in NZ?The Carbon Hunter from Maniatis in NZ gets good reviews and is easy on the eye!
I’m not sure if mods are on ticket but you can get an overview of the NZ licensing process here:Interesting that the link starts with a F&D UTS131 - running one on my .270 and it’s a great result across the board in terms of attenuation, weight, balance and size. Are mods on ticket in NZ?
