@jall55 probably already had a good nosh up. The weather is not really cold yet.
Finally #50 for me.
Nice dog fox, he came trotting across the field towards the baited area. I was tucked up by a hedge in the Mule with the window up, a nice 140-yarder off a Tack bag. It's nice to have a solid shooting platform.

Yeah, a couple of years ago, I tipped a bucket full of rat carcasses out on the bottom field. It was probably late January, easily 50 rats in the bucket, kicked them about a bit to scatter a few, next morning when I walked the dogs, they had all gone. I've known them load up an earth with grub like they had cubs to feed at this time of year, maybe a bit later..Yes but historically mate they take them and bury them - maybe had LOVE on its mind is what i thought

Great shootingHere's my little haul from last night. They were almost certainly the work of one of the so-called charities, wreaking both environmental and economic vandalism on the area yet again...

This one was healthy apart from a strange section of the tail which had no fur at all:

And look at the state of this one:

There was a sixth too, but I couldn't find it in the brambles...
I absolutely love it , very versatile. My .22lr is now redundant.in my eyes a brilliant little round, well done Nick B
I've heard them whispering to each other in woodland during the day.Had an hour out on a chicken unit to shoot a few rats with the air rifle, ended up with 23.
I put a .223 in the motor just in case I spotted Freddy on the way, had a look on a baited area where I shot the last one, nowt.... but while I was knobblin' a few rats one trotted past 60 yards away... giving a little woo woo woo, so subtle I wondered if I was hearing things, I know my IcoTec doesn't go as low as that fox was calling.
Must be all mute up here as you never hear them much.I've heard them whispering to each other in woodland during the day.
They can make quite a range of strange quiet noises.

Bo, Looks like that's been nibbling at some mange at the back end?#51. I sat up in a high seat overlooking bait. One fox came jogging across the middle of the field at 175 yards. I thought he would come to the bait, but it moved off diagonally away from me, there was no chance of that one stopping.
Then, half an hour later, on the field just behind me, this one popped up, might have been the same one.
155 yards. Nice.
